Last but not least we arrived at Sakura Kristal at Taman Melawati after a long day. Everyone chilled and waited for the rest to arrive . Once everyone's here dinner started. Boy, was everyone hungry! This was only a small portion of what was served. Of course even the photographer was hungry In the midst of filling tummies, we had a lucky draw for BlogMobbers. There were Samsung Bluetooth headsets and Coffee Makers (sponsored by Maxis) to be given away. Here are some of the lucky ones. Then the main highlight of the day, who won the phone?! Third prize: walked away with a Samsung Bluetooth headset and a Coffee Maker. Second prize: a pair of Sennheiser headset each. Grand prize....ta-da! Congrats people!
See you guys next time. |

Now getting to Petaling Street is always fun as you struggle with erratic bus drivers and normal everyday traffic. Once teams manage to score a legal parking spacethey need to find the right McDonald's and a speed SMS challenge will be waiting. Then they must make their way to the famous mata kucing stallfor a drinking challenge. Lucky for the participants we decided to skip the more exotic food offerings along the street. Some struggling to down the drink in 15 seconds. Can you say brain freeze? Bottoms up! Drinking is the easy part. They were then instructed to do a short Walk Hunt. We suppose the vendors along Petaling St had some form of entertainment for the day. Whether they finish the Walk Hunt or not they have to make it to Batu Caves by a certain window of time. Lo and behold a massive traffic jam from all directions leading to the sacred site. We planned for all eventualities except this. We guess lady luck is shining down on them again because that part was canceled due to the jam, otherwise they will have to climb the 272 steps up. Here are some guys who actually made it there. Kudos! |

Weeeeeeee...the BlogMobbers screamed passed us as the flew down the flying fox. Thankfully we had the hindsight to serve them lunch after. If not, can you imagine the possible wreckage that might spew forth from an upset tummy. Gross stuff aside, most of them said they had fun which was the name of the game anyway.

They also had a tangram challenge and we found some of baffling expressions as they struggle to finish in the alloted time.

A tricky task was given to them and some of them got it wrong.
If you have read carefully, we're sure you should get it right.

Soon after flag-off, you need to follow some instruction and complete a few tasks at Astaka Sports Center PJ. They must use the onboard GPS to reach Astaka. Let's just say some made it and some were taken for a longer ride than expected . Nonetheless when they reach, they have to complete a sphere activity, whereby one of them is blindfolded and he needed to go back and forth to fill up the ball. The other team mate will shout out instructions while another looks on.
As you can imagine, the results were darn hilarious and then the hot sun added to their misery. When the time's out they were given an SMS challenge, which was pretty simple.

After that, using GPS they need to locate a Samsung Omnia billboard somewhere along Jalan Sultan Ismail. With the 8 megapixel camera they take a team [ic with billboard. Here are a few of the pics.

Participants are required to be at the Samsung Service Center in PJ by 9am. Yes, it's waaay too early for a Saturday morning. Some of us were hanging around waiting for others to show up while some barely made it in time.
But no worries as soon as everyone was here, participants were split into 2 groups. One group were ushered upstairs for a briefing while the other were playing Asphalt 4. The game is played to determine grid positions.
Of course Andrew gave a short and sweet speech before he flagged the guys off.
The drivers were also given stickers and as you can see, some of them spent quite a bit of time ensuring the stickers look good on their machines.
Here are the cars lining up to go with Andrew in action.
Bloggers won't leave their cameras behind :)
More tomorrow.... p/s: If you haven't seen Bernard before, here's how he looks like, complete with wind in the hair and a GoMobile shirt. Hmmm seems like he haven't had his coffee . By the way if you guys are interested in GoMobile, you can get your Clique cards from us and you might walk away with truckloads of frebies. Mark those dates on your calendar k? Pssst...its Nov 21-23 @ PWTC.
