if only i were in damansara right now, i'd just go and get myself a ramly burger and screw that impending cough. OR order ginger fish and rice. OR indomie single.
those were my evening staples.
but nooo... here i am, stuck in the middle of nowhere, nearly 10mins walk in frigid cold, downhill to the nearest restaurant/cafe, not to mention the climb uphill after im done eating.
or i could go to one of our student bars which are 5mins away. or maybe even the sports bar which is right opposite my block, but i've never been to. but they only serve stuff like fries anyway. no hope of getting a filling, non-throat aggravating meal there!
so rummage through my cupboards i shall. lets see, i have indomie, but i already had a serving for lunch, so thats out. i have a family sized packet of quavers. tempting... but not filling and remember the throat! i have some cereal bars... but thats breakfast or snack food at most. im gonna be hungry half an hour later. i have nestum... again, not filling enough. i have cereal... not filling enough la... but if i cant find anything else i'll eat it la. ok, nothing else in this cupboard.
proceeds to kitchen. i have a plethora of sauces, not for consumption without solid food, oh hold on, i have spaghetti and sauce! yes, i shall have spaghetti!
omg, i cant believe i had to mentally go through each and everything in my cupboards before remembering about the spaghetti!
but in my defense, i normally add meats and veg into my spaghetti sauce and have never eaten the sauce un-oomphed before, so it was perfectly normal for me to dismiss the spaghetti prior to this list.
hmm... house is right, its easier to think about things when they are written down. no wonder he had to write on cuddy's wall. or that might just have been him just being an ass.
anyways, i have an impending cough... i can feel it coming. so i've been starting myself on my usual "cough, away!" (note the comma. it means away with the cough and not cough away) treatment. fuiyoh, sounds so high-tech... actually it just consists of drinking loads of pei pa kao and honey. i stir either one in my hot water, so each sip of water i take throughout the day will have to be of either pei pa kao or honey. (hmmm... have i already mentioned this before???)
this has worked surprisingly well so far, and i hope it works again. (im also hoping i didnt jinx it by talking about it on my blog! :S)
ok, off i go to eat my plain spaghetti.

seven moons
so its been 7 months since i got together with shaun.
we've been through some rough patches, especially the 1st few weeks i was here, but i guess now its safe to say we're pretty stable :)
here are a few of my favourite pictures of him.
(omg, for once, its not all about me 0.o) =p

difficulty levels
i downloaded madagascar 2.
when i opened the file, i discovered that it was in spanish.
i downloaded quantum of solace.
when i opened the file, i discovered that it was in french.
i tried to read my European Law textbook.
it was in english.
all three are equally hard to understand.
maybe learning french will be easier. wtf
maybe i should just give up and do what everybody else is doing... my commercial law assignment which is due next thursday.
yes, that sounds like a good idea.
ps: the 2 for 1pound pies sold in somerfield are delish!

it was just a veggie delight
i saw the sweetest thing in subway the other day.
a couple came in to order. they stood at the counter, chatting to each other about what to eat. then the girl ordered a veggie delight. then the guy ordered exactly the same thing. she looked at him and said "you dont have to". then he said "but i want to". (yes, i know, this sounds damn cliche, but u had to be there.)
you see, she was a vegetarian and he obviously wasnt. but he wanted to have exactly the same thing as her, so that he could know her taste better. so he could enjoy the things she enjoyed.
you should have seen the way they behaved. it was the beginning stage of courtship where both parties were still new to each other, still curious and playful. and they stole glances at each other, checking each others reaction to different things. both so obviously liked each other and wanted to get to know each other better. there was also that cute shyness. the lowering of eyes each time they caught each others gaze.
just thinking about it gives me the warm tingly feeling. i love the beginning of new romances. when two people discover each other. *melts*

alvin's bdae dinner
last month, a few of us went to "old orleans cuisine" to celebrate alvin's birthday.
the most important page of any menu, according to amy.
free popcorn.
it tasted like crap. i thought the ones at the riverside cineplex were bad, but at least they were salty. these were just ugh.

me pouting coz the worst thing about being the photographer is not being photographed. wtf
so i got caroline to take my menu shot since they all had one. LOL~
william doesnt really like the camera and has "innovative" ways of avoiding his face from being photographed.
us? we love the camera!but only on good face days. and such a thing does exist ok! like those days that your face just looks wrong. something like a bad hair day, except that your hair is fine, the problem is your face. eg. zits and blackheads.
i considered ordering from here, but since dinner was on caroline, why scrimp! WTF
no la, it was really coz im too greedy and the kids meals here are too small. whoever said that ang mohs had huge portions were either lying or referring to other countries besides england. coz so far, all the portions of the places that i've been to are same as malaysian portions or SMALLER. chis, i thought i could save money here by sharing meals, manatau a meal barely fills me up, what say sharing it between 2 ppl!
waiting-for-food time is also camwhoring time!

i ordered seafood coz i feel like i lack seafood here. iodin and whatnot.
back home, we used to have a fish dish everynight. but here, i rarely eat fish. same goes to when i was living in kl. so i feel fish-deprived.

the ambience here is quite nice. a romantic place for dinner.
but i found the food so-so only. it was nice, but nothing to shout about. i like jamie's italian (yes, im referring to jamie oliver's restaurant!) much more. the prices are about the same. but caroline likes this place better, so i guess its up to u guys. lol~

so we sang... wait, did we sing? i think none of us felt like it, except maybe caroline. and alvin was wayyy to embarrassed, so i think we might have skipped that part.
anyway, we quartered the cake and gobbled it up. then we sat around summore and finally left.

its so rare for me to wear contacts here, that i must fully maximize each usage before i have to dispose of it after a month of maybe wearing it 5 times.

looks like slimming ad. but not so slim. wtf.
and PS: my friend's aunt who lives at St Mary Cray is renting out rooms. Its near King's College if Im not mistaken, but u London people would know better anyway. single and double bed rooms available. so if anyone is interested, contact Carole Stone @ 07866864807
